Is the PSM exam open-book?

Ans:
Yes, PSM I, II and III exams are open-book. Scrum Guide, or your notes you have made to be with you during the test. Don’t be deceived though; with 80 questions and only an hour to work through them, you have a mere 45 seconds per question. If you lack knowledge, there is nearly no time to search for answers.

Am I required to attend training before I attempt the PSM exam?

Ans:
No. iNoThe kiInvolved Unlike CSM (Certified Scrum Master), Ru the Ate Nothing oOf sStrong SScrum. org, does not have any mandatory training. If you really know your stuff, there’s an application where you can pay the assessment fee and take the test without sitting through all that material. But what I recommend is Travel to SevenMentor for the Professional Scrum Master course in Pune and get an understanding of a practical scenario and little “trick” questions that self-learning might not cover.

How is the validity of PSM certification?

Ans:
One of the great benefits of the PSM is that it never expires. You are certified for life after you pass the exam. There are no renewal fees, “SEUs,” or 27 “PDUs” to be earned and charged for $250 per cycle, no membership fees to pay every two years.

How much do I need to pass the PSM I?

Ans:
The passing score is 85%. This is among the highest standards for the industry. For the PSM I, this is 68 of 80 questions.

What if I do not pass the exam?

Ans:
And if you don't succeed, do not worry, it is possible to take the test again, but you have to pay again the fee ($150 for PSM I). The PSM is commonly believed to be more challenging. Whereas the CSM tests your understanding of Scrum in a classroom environment and an exam with marginal difficulty, the PSM is a difficult validation that you can act as a Scrum Master by applying what you have learned to complex situations not addressed in the training.

Can I miss questions and return to them later?

Ans:
Yes. Bookmark questions in the assessment interface. If you're struggling on a challenging situational question – or any other one for that matter – save it and don't dwell; Remember, there are 60 minutes to answer all the questions.

Is the PSM certificate valid in every country?

Ans:
Absolutely. It is not, as it is published by Scrum. org (created by Ken Schwaber) and is accepted by many companies across the globe: Google, Amazon and other Indian IT giants. Their preference is often proven by hiring managers, for they consider expertise a deep, standard knowledge.
