What is Cloud Computing?

Types of Cloud Deployment Models

Cloud computing offers flexibility through different deployment models:

Public Cloud: Services offered over the public internet and shared among multiple organizations. Examples include AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Private Cloud: Dedicated infrastructure operated solely for a single organization, either managed internally or by a third party.

Hybrid Cloud: A combination of public and private clouds, allowing data and applications to be shared between them for greater flexibility and security.

 

 

Types of Cloud Services (Service Models)

Cloud computing is commonly divided into three service models:

1. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): Provides virtualized computing resources over the internet. Users manage operating systems and applications while the provider manages the infrastructure. Example: Amazon EC2.

 

2. Platform as a Service (PaaS): Offers a platform allowing customers to develop, run, and manage applications without dealing with infrastructure complexities. Example: Google App Engine.
