This roadmap is useful not only for web developers (such as those who wish to build web applications or who already have built some) but also for a wide variety of developers, including backend developers (using Node.js, for example); full-stack engineers; and even people who are looking to switch to a career as a web application developer.

JavaScript is the primary programming language used to develop websites. Today, it has become the main engine powering web browsers as well as server environments and is used to develop mobile and desktop applications and also to interact with devices that are part of the Internet of Things (IoT) space.

First, we need to understand how computers store and manipulate data. We will go through variables as well as learn the differences between var, let and const. We will also practice block scoping. We will also learn about the different primitive data types (String, Number, Boolean, Null, Undefined, Symbol, BigInt) and how they are coerced to other data types.
2. Control Flow and Conditionals
Learn how programs make decisions. Practice using if/else statements, switch blocks, and ternary operators to handle conditional logic cleanly.
3. Functions & Scope
Functions are the core components of JavaScript as a programming language. Therefore, a JavaScript developer road map for beginners must include a phase for functions as soon as possible. In this phase, a beginner learns basic function declarations and function expressions. This knowledge is complemented by modern arrow syntax for functions, i.e., functions written as () => { /* code */ }.
